New Model to Watch Out For!

The stunning Abbie Weir has become the model of the moment! She was in 2013 Australia’s next top model and she was one of my favourites to win! I also saw her on the runway during the Virgin Australia Fashion Festival and she strutted that runway so effortlessly! I even had the pleasure of meeting Shanali Martin (who was top 3) not once, but twice (the second time I met her after a runway show) who was also in 2013 ANTM and one of Abbie’s competitors.

Keep an eye out on this gorgeous model. I can see her heading for the other major fashion capitals and hopefully to grace a Chanel runway show in the next few seasons. Who knows? 🙂

Runway 1 of VAMFF

What a wonderful experience at Runway 1 yesterday! As soon as I turned up to the venue a few photographers snapped up some photos of me and I’ve literally never had that experience before so I was really stoked that they liked my outfit enough to take a photo 😛

Below are the details of what I wore to the runway show last night:

Wearing Finders Keepers the Label Dress paired with Calypso Lipstick from Napoleon Perdis. It was all about colour for me that evening and I’m glad it made me stand out of the crowd!

Midi rings and cuff from TopShop Australia. Midi rings have become my new favorite accessory!

Although my styling theme for my outfit was ‘all about colour’, runway 1 designers presented a monochrome palette mixing with comfortable sport luxe (a trend I’m still lusting over!).

The designers for runway 1 included:

  • Bassike
  • Josh Goot
  • Christopher Esber
  • Maticevski
  • Scanlan Theodore
  • Willow
  • Strateas.Carlucci

The designers collections that stood out for me the most was Maticevski and Willow. There was also a dress that I adored by Christopher Esber as seen right below.

A few more of my favourite looks from last night 🙂

These photos are NOT mine. Photographed by Lucas Dawson Photography. Photos were sourced from Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Facebook page

Below is a photo I took (sorry for the poor quality! My phone couldn’t handle it!) and on the night I captioned how “blessed [I am] for these experiences” and I truly am. The atmosphere at these runway shows is phenomenal! Surrounded by fashionable people, watching fashion, enjoying a glass of wine and appreciating the fantastic music as the models strut their stuff down the runway. What more could I want in such an amazing event? 🙂

Friday night I’ll also be attending a runway show so keep an eye out for my blog post about that night.

Did you attend any shows? Let me know! 🙂

Sass & Bide’s Novateur Collection

Sass & Bide’s collections always has a lasting impression on me as I love their use of draping, embellishing and delicacy in their fabric work while making sure the wearer looks confident and stylish. NOVATEUR was the designers Autumn/Winter collection that was presented during New York Fashion week and my favourite looks from the runway show are presented below. If I had the money, my entire wardrobe would consist of Sass & Bide! I absolutely adore this Aussie designer brand 🙂 Definitely one my favourites alongside Yeojin Bae and Ellery!

Ellery – Spring Summer ’14

I am currently obsessing over Ellery’s Spring Summer ’14 collection!

As Ellery is one of my favourite Australian labels, it came to no surprise of how much I adore the collections season after season. What I particularly like about this SS14 collection is how comfortable and stylish the pieces look. The garments create a gorgeous and carefree yet feminine look for the wearer without having to cling to the body. Interestingly enough, Kym Ellery once quoted that she likes to celebrate the strength of the female figure and I find it amazing that this collection reveals that it possible to celebrate a womanly figure through the use of loose yet structured fitted clothing.

The colour palette was also quite simple with a splash of pattern here and there and the use of knitwear has been incorporated into the collection too demonstrating a new way to create the perfect strapless top 😛

Here are my favourite looks from Ellery’s SS14 collection 🙂

Elie Saab Spring/Summer 14′

Elie Saab is an absolute genius… every.single.season he produces such an impeccable collection and I am always left gobsmacked by how delicate and beautifully crafted the garments are! What I particularly love about this collection is the use of lace (have I told you how much I love lace?) and his ability to make any woman look like pretty angels . The colour palette in his collection were delicate and beautiful colours consisting of whites, baby pink, blue and finishing his collection with a darker palette transforming the models from pretty to sexy but elegant women.

Here are my favourite looks from the collection ❤

Stella McCartney SS14′

Here are my favourite looks from the Stella McCartney SS collection during paris fashion week. This was one of the collections that had a lasting impression on me. I adored this collection so much I felt like I could wear everything! The entire collection was just so chic and the looks appeared to be very comfortable and feminine. The beauty looks were gorgeous also 🙂 With the finishing touch of a sleek low pony tails and big sunnies, this created class and sophistication while keeping a very fresh and comfortable look throughout the collection.

Dolce & Gabbana SS14

Another incredible runway show by the one and only Dolce and Gabbana!

I must say this collection was absolutely breathtaking with their traditional italian vibes and religious imagery printed on the garments as the models strut down a runway big enough to fit a small airplane. I also love their use of gold! I love wearing gold so I could see myself in quite a few of these gorgeous pieces 🙂

Here are my favourites off the runway:

Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 14

Its all about lace and pastels during Spring/summer and I am ever so excited to broaden my wardrobe pieces and include some more delicate fabrics, powdery blues, pinks and greens as well as more white pieces to help refresh my look for the hotter season.

Burberry Prorsum once again made a runway show worth remembering and extravagant and I always look forward to Burberry’s upcoming seasonal collections as it always takes my breath away. Christopher Bailey is a genius at what he does 🙂

Here I am sharing with you all my favourite pieces from this collection during London Fashion week
